Kutchi Dabeli no Swaad toh Bhai Bhai ni Dabeli j aape!! God give him long life, who created Dabeli on earth!! Long live that man!! Today, we are here again being extremely Foodie at Bhai Bhai Dabeli, the first and most well known name in the city which is located at, Ayurvedic 3 Rasta.

This story is about a small boy named Bharat, who was born at the place where dabeli originated, that is in Kutch. At a very small age he lost his father. He then realised the real meaning of life and the truth of people around him & took his educational journey a step further by going to Mumbai with his brother.Then after completion of 8th Standard, he moved back to Vadodara and started a job where his brother used to work. He always dreamt about having his own business, and one day for that, he left his job and then he tried to start something, but failed. So, he joined his earlier job again.

We always say that there comes a time for everyone and the same happened with Bharatbhai Nagda one fine morning. He started a Wheel-Stall (Laari) and started selling Dabelis on road.He used to visit many places like schools, gardens and many other places singlehandedly. He dragged the stall from school to school and from one place to another. Bharat Bhai, managed the affairs of the stall and used to prepare all the required ingredients by himself, and at that time he had a variety of 15 different types of Dabeli. Now, he had started making a strong customer base due to his unique taste and variety of dabelis. And, then there was a big turning point in his life!!

Now, he was about to fulfil his own dream of starting his own business at a proper place. His dream was to buy a place and he was trying to collect the money and hence more to it he was working harder and was making people mad with the shop in front of the place where he used to keep his stall, and one day, with the help of his friends, he could buy it after some difficulties and since 2005, he shifted to the current shop.

After that, Bharat bhai has never looked in his past and just kept on developing new varieties like kachhi katka, ice cold dabeli, mango dolly dabeli and many more as his Customers continued to love it. Today Bharat Bhai tries to engage himself only in the making of the Dabeli and he does not add more employees. He has a established name now and to spend time with his family, he has kept the kitchen at his home only.

He wakes up at 5:00 am, prepares the material for sale and hence then he goes to the shop and spends the entire day on the shop.

" Business is going to continue on its way, but family time is not going to come again at any cost, so better to cherish it when I still can"



He says when asked upon his family reacting when he is busy. Bharat bhai also hopes for the noble cause in future , when he will enable employment for women, who actually need financial help, widows who have to support themselves and raise their kids, and he wants to be the medium for the betterment of their lives. So, here it was the colourful story of town's best dabeliwala, don't forget to try " acheesa dish"-which contradicting its name, has loads of cheese in it!!
